51. a. The umpire(s) must sign the result sheet stating time of completion of the match and explain any abandonment etc., if the match is not completed to a result. The captains must record the absence of an official umpire on the result sheet. If the result is accepted by both captains and have signed the result sheet then the umpire(s) can also sign the result sheet and leave the ground, otherwise the umpire(s) will sign the result sheet after 30 minutes from close of play and endorse the result sheet accordingly.
b.It is the responsibility of both captains to ensure that the individual performances of each of their players have been recorded correctly and all player’s names must be printed in full, in capital letters. No alterations can be made to the official scoresheet once the teams have left the ground. A method of dismissal, retired hurt, not out or did not bat must be completed for every player entered on the scoresheet, or the scoresheet may be considered incomplete and subject to fine and points deduction.
52. All home teams must enter the result of the match on to the WhatsApp group specified by the Match Secretary before 9.30pm on the day of the fixture, whether the match has been completed or not, including abandoned before the start or cancelled, using the published details. This must include the runs scored and wickets lost for each innings, the team batting first, and the points allocated to each team. All home teams must also send a photo of both sides of the scoresheet to the Match Secretary via WhatsApp before 9.30pm on the day of the fixture otherwise a fine will be incurred as per Rule 19 (c). If the match is cancelled without any play, then the home team must enter the result to the WhatsApp group per rules.
53. a. The home team must forward the original completed and signed scoresheet to the League Match Secretary, to be received no later than first post on the Friday following the fixture otherwise a fine will be incurred as per Rule 19 (c).
b. It is the home team’s responsibility to enter the match result and points onto the GMACL section of ECB Play Cricket within two days of match completion. Failure to do so will incur points deductions against the home team as detailed in Rule 19(c). Both teams are responsible for entering their own player individual performances onto the GMACL section of ECB Play Cricket by the Friday following the match in order that players up-to-date statistics are available.
54. Match protests, where possible, to be recorded on the scoresheet. The captain of the protesting team should not sign the scoresheet but should complete the captain’s comments giving reasons for the protest. All match protests to be lodged with the League General Secretary within 7 days of the match accompanied by a protest fee. A protest can still be lodged when the scoresheet has been signed.
